WINTER SALE 20-40% OFF

EDIT.
by Eva Roefs & Akaar Amin

Introducing a creative couple from Amsterdam: Eva Roefs, a portrait photographer capturing intimacy and identity through her lens, and Akaar Amin, founder and creative director of the football-infused clothing brand Lack of Guidance.

For Eva and Akaar, telling stories is at the heart of their work—whether through images or garments. They often collaborate on projects, blending their perspectives. Their shared curiosity and obsession with design shape the way they approach both their work and life together.

This February 14th, Akaar and Eva answered 14 questions for KASSL Editions.

Book

“To Sang Fotostudio. We learned about Lee To Sang through a documentary by Johan van der Keuken. Later, Eva discovered that there was a book about his work, so she emailed the publisher to get a copy. We're both very much into Dutch photography, and this book blew our minds the first time we saw it.”

City

“Amsterdam. Honestly, we can’t get enough of this place.”

Epiphany

“If you’re someone who tends to micromanage a lot, it helps to remind yourself that nobody cares.”

Documentary

“Alleman by Bert Haanstra. This is, hands down, the best Dutch documentary ever made. We've seen it numerous times. We like the way Bert Haanstra observes people—how they move, interact and exist in their surroundings. There's humor in it, but also a quiet sense of beauty.
