“Nearly three years ago, we bought an 18th-century apartment in Amsterdam with a big, open living room featuring en-suite doors and original ceilings. There’s a large chestnut tree in front of the floor-to-ceiling sliding windows in the kitchen, which changes beautifully with the seasons. It’s the first house I’ve ever really felt at home in.”

“The Pierre Paulin cowhide Butterfly chair. We bought it from an elderly couple in the east of the Netherlands, who welcomed us into their home and proudly showed us their design collection.”
Museum
“A few years ago, I visited the Noguchi Museum for the first time. It’s one of the most serene spaces I’ve ever been to. Since then, I’ve been collecting his lamps in hopes of recreating the calmness I felt there. The museum was partially closed for The Row show later that week, so I look forward to going back and seeing the entire collection.”
Getaway
“Last August, my friend Pirrie celebrated her birthday in Venice. We had breakfast at the iconic 1700s Caffè Florian, sailed on a vintage yacht to Murano to visit a glassblowing atelier, and continued on to Burano, famous for its lace. We dined at Harry’s Bar and naturally tried their Bellinis.
I also loved visiting the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, which had a Jean Cocteau exhibition, and the Olivetti showroom designed by Carlo Scarpa.”

“The caponata I had a few summers ago at Baka d’Busk in Copenhagen, one of my favourite restaurants in the world, both for its food and ambiance.”

“If I hadn’t ended up working in fashion, I’d probably be in interior design. Morentz Gallery in Waalwijk, located in a massive 1930s shoe factory, is filled with stunning mid-century designs.”
