Introducing Nina and Tobias, a volatile couple avidly travelling through life with open minds. They were united by their love for the great outdoors, and their razor sharp eye for beauty.
Nina van Velzen, mother of Noa, model and photographer, hides a playful young woman behind her famous blue steel. Having grown up on a houseboat in Amsterdam, her innate love of nature brought her and Tobias to live in a remote village in Italy during the pandemic, whereafter they moved into a glass house tucked away in the Dutch countryside.
Tobias Pekelharing, previously airline pilot, cinematographer and snowboard instructor. Currently father, fiancé and film director. You will often find him alongside nature’s forgotten streams fulfilling his passion for fly fishing.

“The Sea. There is no place on earth more calming and beautiful as the sea. The waves, the smell, the salt, everything. It’s our favourite place to be. A particular spot that comes to mind is a small private beach we discovered on Elba, accessible only by canoe.”
Gift
“A Cartier watch we found in a vintage jewellery shop in Barcelona. “Tobias gifted me the watch only a few months after we first met. He must have been really into me, it is to this day the most beautiful and precious gift I ever received”, says Nina. “A few years later, on his 42nd birthday, I gave Tobias an Italian day/date watch we found in a jewellery shop in a small village in Italy near the house we lived in at the time. He was looking for this specific timepiece for quite some time, so the moment we found the one, it had to be his.””
Drink
“Aperol Spritz. It tastes even better in a cup, anywhere in Italy.” says Nina.
“Nina, to some, is also known as ‘The Aperol Lady’, she truly makes them better than anywhere I’ve been” adds Tobias.
