Introducing Niki Pauls, freelance fashion stylist, consultant, and creative director, as well as fashion director for Lampoon magazine. Living between Paris and Berlin, Niki co-founded the legendary underground party Cicciolina in Paris, which she runs with her close friend Allegria Torassa. This month, they will celebrate their 11-year anniversary.

“La Boule de Feu by Bernard Faucon, 1981. I was instantly drawn to this picture and Faucon’s poetic approach. In 1996, he decided to abandon photography to devote himself to writing. I saw this picture on the cover of the band Tuxedomoon,
who used it for their album Holy Wars (1985), which includes one of my all-time favorite songs: In a Manner of Speaking. Therefore, it speaks and sings to me on several levels.”

“1990 Mercedes-Benz 560 SEC AMG 6.0 Wide-body. I love the shape, class, and energy of this Mercedes. It makes me feel like a boss lady driving in a David Lynch or Guy Ritchie movie nonstop. It’s a bit pricey though—it recently sold for $390,000 at Sotheby’s.”
