She has spent the past seven years in Amsterdam, where she lives with her Irish partner and their lively smooth hair fox terrier, Mimi.
Julia draws her energy from the world, firmly believing that inspiration is everywhere for those who are awake to it. Passionate about people, new experiences, and adventure, she is constantly seeking what’s fresh and authentic. “Drinking a pint of Guinness at a traditional Irish pub. My favourite one is called The Dying Cow, it’s a very small pub with only 8 seats, no music is played and you can get a cheese toast made by the couple who own it. It’s an experience.”

“I cannot get enough of the process of making gnocchi. It’s a knockout every single time. Recently, I’ve been adding some blanched spinach or cavolo nero to the mix, served with beurre noisette and sage leaves. Simplicity is sexy.”
