EDIT.
by Ann Vincent

Living in a former school building in the scenic Pays des Collines of Belgium, artist and photographer Ann Vincent creates home objects and candles, blending beauty with emotional depth. Originally from Ghent and trained in photography, Ann founded her studio in 2020. Through her perfectionism and love of home life, she began making candles as gifts for friends, a hobby that soon blossomed into a thriving venture. Today, Ann continues to experiment with work driven by feeling rather than by any specific medium, capturing her creations in photographs or crafting them as objects—all while making her home a true reflection of her creative spirit.

Item

“The Ilse rubber boots and the Original hip coat. Two beautiful pieces—chic, sustainable, and perfect for this time of year. I’m constantly out and about, and both items are super comfortable and warm! Plus, they’re gorgeous, which I do find quite important.”

Gift

“The XL Pillar is by far my favorite candle in the collection—and, in my view, the perfect gift. I’ll often bring one along instead of a bottle of wine when visiting friends for dinner. I also think it looks fantastic in the custom KASSLXTRETORN and RiRa colors.”

Texture

“Moss. Every day, I’m captivated by the colors and textures that come to life in and around our garden, especially this time of year. The different types of moss, with their rich shades and intricate textures, are simply beautiful. Living in a former school building, we have this massive concrete table in what used to be the playground, now completely carpeted in moss. It’s one of my favorite things here. Throughout the day, the colors shift—sometimes they brighten, other times they soften—creating a scene that feels truly magical.”

Architect

“John Pawson and Marie José Van Hee are endless sources of inspiration, each embodying a masterful purity in their work. It would be a dream to welcome Marie José here one day and gain her insights on our home we purchased in the heart of the countryside.”

Color

“The red color our wild vine took on when autumn arrived.”

Motorcycle

“This beautiful Suzuki DR200 from 1986. My boyfriend bought her for me 6 years ago, fixed her up, and all the while hoping it would encourage me to get my motorcycle driving license (our favorite thing to do is to go on motorcycle trips/holidays). I still haven’t got my license, but she’s patiently waiting in the shed until I do. For me it's a symbol of love.”

Scent

“The fireplace. My dream of living somewhere I can smell wood fire every day has come true, and I love it so much. Sometimes, I light the fire just so I can stand outside and take in the scent. This, and fresh sheets!”
