"My favorite KASSL piece is the Original Rubber coat in black. I love its simplicity and the way it’s cut. It has a slightly feminine feel, but when you wear it, it reads masculine. I think it’s the raglan sleeves that create that contrast, I like how it balances the two.”
"Right now, Loren Erdrich. She’s an American artist from NYC, shown by a small gallery in Copenhagen called Bricks. We recently bought three of her works; two drawings and a ceramic.”
“‘In the Air Tonight’ by Phil Collins has stayed with me since I was 12. Back then, it was the number one song on a Sunday night radio program I never missed; three hours full of music, live teen call-ins with a psychiatrist, and at the end, the ‘Electric Barometer.’ That show meant the world to me, and this song was the nr. 1 hit for a while. Years later, when I met Line, I found the same album in her apartment. We listened to it together, it felt like a thread tying our lives together.”
"Simple things: Sunday bike rides with a thermos of our own coffee (beans from friends), stopping at the organic food market "Grønt Marked" for local produce. Even in the rain, we just put on our gear and go.”
“Our favorite gallery in Copenhagen is Nicolai Wallner, they represent David Shrigley, who we have collected for years. We have a special connection to them.”
“Biking to the harbor after work-outs for winter swims with our swimming-club where we also drink coffee's from Prolog. Four mornings a week at 7:30am I train with a mountain-climber-turned-trainer, who occasionally also takes us hiking. We even changed our opening hours to make space for this. It’s a mental reset, and a very social one too.”
“A proper shelter in Odden Havn! It’s near our summer house north of Copenhagen. On Sunday mornings, we drive early to a nearby third-generation organic farm named Grønt Marked for vegetables, stop at a lovely bakery for bread, and sometimes go for a swim, even in the rain. Afterwards, we settle into the shelter to warm up with coffee and fresh bread. It’s simple, cozy, perfect.”
“We love visiting our daughter Vera. After her time in the military where she met her husband, she moved to the countryside. His family runs a third-generation campsite by the sea in Jylland, near Århus. On weekends we often go there, staying in the sea view suites at Hygge Strand Camping. Now that Vera has become a mother, we go more often. It feels like a second home.”
